The Men’s Ministry at Harvest Desoto, called As the Man Goes (AMG), is a discipleship-driven ministry rooted in Applied Theology—the active living out of biblical truth in daily life. Rather than following the traditional model of lectures or book studies, AMG fosters genuine transformation through relationship and shared experience. The goal is not simply to gain knowledge, but to live it out in a way that shapes character, strengthens marriages, builds authentic friendships, and deepens faith.
AMG brings men together to fight isolation and temptation, to grow in faith, and to sharpen one another through accountability and encouragement.
Grow in faith, and to sharpen one another.
AMG addresses the real spiritual and cultural battles men face, recognizing that our culture has distorted masculinity and undermined the role of men as godly leaders in the home and community. In response, AMG brings men together to fight isolation and temptation, to grow in faith, and to sharpen one another through accountability and encouragement. As brothers in Christ, they commit to staying connected, especially during times of weakness and trial, offering support, prayer, and restoration.
Ultimately, As the Man Goes is about transformation—for individuals, families, and the church. Through applied theology, men become more Christlike in their relationships, take on servant leadership, and pursue peace, integrity, and godly character. Whether strengthening marriages, walking with a brother through hardship, or helping restore someone who has strayed, AMG calls men to be faithful, humble, and courageous as they live out their calling in Christ.
